Why
You have been probably been told that in order to start a company you need a solid Business Plan. This is right. But the problem is how to make it solid from a situation where almost everything is uncertain and unknown.
Startups are temporal organizations in search for a profitable, repeatable and scalable business model. At the beginning, you have a wonderful idea of a product or a service and you don't know if it could turn into a business. In order to achieve this goal, your product or service has to satisfy a compelling customers need for which they are ready to pay a price which gives you a profit. This is known as Market Risk. Founders tend to focus more on Technical or Financial risk, but very little on Market risk. That is, they try to "perfection" the product and/or raise working capital. This is important, but only after the Market risk has been minimized, namely you can prove that you have reached the Product-Market Fit.
Lean Startup is the methodology which brings you to the Product-Market Fit with a minimal waste of resources and with the maximum speed.
